Todd ~ Karen Baright, 13S Rt., 9, Village Richard Earight, 138 Rt. g, Village Rand Earight, 13S Rt. 9, Village Chairman Savelli called the meeting to order 7:31 p.m. He exolained that the ~oard was having this special meeting, as they did not have a muerum at the last meefing. Chairman Savelli requested a motion to disoense with the reading of the minutes and to a~nrove same as written and forwarded to all members by mail. ?oti~ bv ~,'r. VanWa~enen, seconded by ~r. Casey to disnense with the reading of the minutes and fo approve same as written and forwarded to all ~embers 5y mail. All in favor~ motion carried. Minutes a~roved. Chairman Savelli stated that the first item on the agend~ would be a public hearing, at the request of ~aright Associaies, 13S Route 9, Village, seeking the issuance of a Special []se Permit for a 7ublic ~arage and commercial laundromat at 13~ Route 9, Village. Secy. read the ~!otice of Appeal, Legal Hotice and the recommendation of the Dutchess County Dent. of alanninq, which stated that the special use hermit should be denied. Chairman Savelli asked if all within the 200 ft. radius had been notified and Secy. re~lied yes. Atty. Viglotti pointed out that since County ~lannlng recommended denial, the Board must have a majority plus one vote if they are to grant the S~ecial []se Permit. Mr~ Richard Saright then was duly sworn by the Village Attorney. Atty. Vigl~tti stated that for his clarification, he would like to know what approval !~r. !'arioht received from t~e Planning ~oard. ~r. Rari~ht stated that he received apnroval for the laundromat and was advised to go to t~e Zoning ~oard of Ao~eals for the snecial use permit. He said that there is 3 plus acres and he feels tF~e size and scope can justify his investment. He will have an office u~stair~ and he received a~proval for I~ bays, which are sel~-service, but he has cut this down to nine. Re feels that the lube change is a logical use. The nlanning ~oard ~ave him a0proval for the laundromat. He thinks that these businesses are com?~tible. There are bays in the back and he will imorove the ~roi~erty. There will he more r~an power needed. The lube changes would be done quietly and Medicus has net complained. He feels are businesses are compatible. Ne is not installing anything like video games and there will be no major re~airs. He wil! fix up the front. ~tty. Viglotti stated t~at he would have to go back to the Planning moard. ~.~r. ~arieht stated tha? he built a flat sh~d. Atty.
