<br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Savelli at 7:30 P.M. Motion
<br />was made by Mr. VanWagenen, seconded by George Kolb that minutes
<br />of meeting held April 12, 1988 be approved as written and re-
<br />ceived by all members by mail. Unanimously carried.
<br />
<br />ROBERTS & STRAUB FUNERAL HOME, INC.
<br />Chairman Savelli stated that the first order of business would
<br />be the holding of public hearing on application of Roberts &
<br />Straub Funeral Home, Inc., 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls,
<br />seeking a variance from the requirements of R-7.5 district (single-
<br />family residential) to permit an addition and changes in the exist-
<br />ing nonconforming funeral home.
<br />
<br />Secretary read legal notice as inserted in the April 20, 1988
<br />edition of Southern Dutchess News. Notice of Appeal #3-88 and
<br />attached letter dated April 5, 1988 from the offices of Rudolph
<br />E. Lapar were read. Secretary advised that all property owners
<br />within a radius of 200 feet from the funeral home were furnished
<br />a copy of the legal notice by mail. Secretary stated that the
<br />Dutchess County Planning Department advised on May 2, 1988 that
<br />the matter is one of local concern and the Department recommends
<br />that the Board rely upon its own study of the facts in the case.
