Greco made a <br />motion t~ accept the minutes of the December meeting <br />which were received by all nm~bel-s by mail. Motion <br />seconded by Ma-. Van Wage]hen. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />MRS-I~LNCYSLAVINSKY. 37~UTHA%q~/E.~FALLS <br />First on the a~enda was the application of Mrs. Nancy <br />Slavinsky, 37 South Avenue, Wappin~ers Falls seeking a <br />variance to be able to have a liquor store at the above <br />address which is in a R7.5 zone. Secretary read legal <br />notice which appeared in the December 26, 1991 edition of <br />the Southern Dutchess News and Notice of Appeal #2~-90 and <br />advised that all prope~ty owners within a radius of 200 ft <br />had been notified and Dutchess County Depa~ment of Planning <br />had responded to the zonin~ referral with a '~4atter of Local <br /> <br />Mrs. Slavinsky stated her case. ~]e property is now <br />operating as an insurance company which she owns. The pro- <br />perry has always been a st~re and she pl~]s to divide the <br />st~re in half and run her insurance business from one half <br />and the liquor sto~'e fl-om ~e other half. There a~e three <br />enta'ances to t~e building and ~ere is adeq%~ate off-sta-eet <br />parking (11 spaces not including a t~o car ~arage). <br /> <br />At tAis pointMr. Viglotti stated he did t~e closing for Ma's. <br />Slavinsky for the 37 South Avenue property. Mr. Van Wagenen <br />asked when Mrs. Slavinsky purchased the property and she <br />answered Dece,~er of 1989. It was st~tmd ~at t~e previous <br />owner had died in Mai'ch of 1989. <br /> <br />Ma-. Hargrave stated he felt t~at having a liquor store t~ere <br />was too close t~ t~e Nursery School around the corner and <br />that it would be extending an already non-conforming use. He <br />also stated t~ere was a lot a property in the village not <br />being utilized and suggested she look a~-ound for another <br /> <br /> <br />
