Van Wagenen <br />made a motion to accept the minutes of the Februa~'y meeting <br />as w~-ittmn. ~k-. Smith seconded the motion. Unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />MR. DENNIS CRAIG. 10 NORTH STP~EET. 9FAPPINGERS FALLS. NY <br />First on the agenda was the application of M~~. Dennis Craig, <br />10 Nox~h Street seeking a variance to be able to park his <br />e~ipment on his property at the above address which is in a <br />R7.5 zone. Sec~etax~ read legal noti,~ which appeared in the <br />Februax7 27, 1991 edition of the Southern ~tchess News and <br />Notice of Appeal 91-91. Secretal~] also advised that all <br />property owners with a 200 ft. radius of subject prope~ty had <br />been ful~nished a copy of the legal notice and the Dutchess <br />County Department of Plannir~ responded to the zonir~ <br />refexTal with a "matter of local conce~~n'' co~ent. <br /> <br />Mr. Reilly representir~Mr. Craig presented his case. He <br />stated that Mr. Craig had been operatin~ the business for <br />approximately 15 years and he had previously applied to the <br />ZBA for permission to build a garage for equipment and was <br />granted the variance. Since that time other businesses in <br />the area have t~ucks or ether equipment on them, namely, <br />MarcoJohn, Bottini and Contelmo. He feels that the hardship <br />created is that he has b~en doin~ this for 15 years, he is <br />a relatively small business and the expense to buy a piece of <br />property for his e~aipment would be a hardship. <br /> <br />Mr. Craig has expressed the willingness to screen his <br />propex-ty with a fence or anythir~ else the Board deemed <br />acceptable. <br /> <br />Mr. Savelli stated t~atMa-. Craig has some equipment ~at has <br />not moved in years. In 1975 he was Erantmd a variance to <br />build a gara§e tr, house all of his equipment.
