Seconded by Mr. Van Wagenen <br />and all in favor. <br /> <br />~ONI SOHENE~ FERNWOOD FLO~IST~ 9 WEST MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the application of Ms~ Toni Schene <br />seeking a variance to be able to have her floral shop located <br />at 5'7 South Avenue which is in a R?.5 zone. Secretary read <br />legal notice which appeared in the Southern Dutchess News and <br />Notice of Appeal. Secretary also informed that property <br />owners within a 200 ft. radius had received a copy of the <br />legal notic~ and Dutchess County Departmen o~ Planning had <br />responded to the zoning referral with a "matter of local con- <br /> <br />Ms Schene presented her case and stated she has a contract of <br />sale for the property contingent upon her receiving the <br />variance. She also stated she will live upstairs and run her <br />business downstairs. She stated her current building is now <br />up for sale. She also stated she would have two employees <br />beside herself and that most of her business is by phone. <br />Ms. Schene said she has sufficient parking for six cars. <br /> <br />Steve Fisch stated that Ms. Schene's father is ill and it is <br />a hardship on her to run back and forth all day to care for <br />him. He also stated he feels a flower business would not be <br />detrimental to the neighborhood. Mrs. Nenni stated she does <br />not want the business to move there because she feels there <br />would be too much traffic. <br /> <br />Mrs. Theresa Kenny who now owns 57 South Avenue stated her <br />house has been for sale for over one year and the only peeple <br /> <br /> <br />
