MINUTES OF ZONING BOARD Q~ ~PEALS MEETING HELD <br /> SEPTEMBER 8. 1992 <br /> <br />Present: Frank Savelli, Jenny Bovino, Haz~7 Greco and <br /> Bob Smith. <br /> <br />Absent: Bob Lewis <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. Motion by Mr. Greco <br />and seco,~ded by ~'. Smith to accept t~e minutes of <br />August meeting was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />First on the a~enda was the continuation of a hearing on the <br />request of Mr. Dou~ Scharf representing Hometown Motors <br />seekir~ a variance to be able to have a Used Car Dealership <br />on Route 9 in the Conifer Plaza which is in a CB zone. Mr <br />Scharf presented his site plan and confil~med that it was <br />the same plan as originally approved by the Planning <br />Mr. Savelli stated he felt that the problem with the drainage <br />was the res;~nsibility of the landlord and not the applicant. <br /> <br />Mr. Scharf stated he will keep the parking orderly and that <br />the Plannir~ Board stated they would specify the number of <br />parking spaces and how many would have to be handicapped. <br />Mr. Greco questioned the term "auto sales and sea, ice" and <br />Mr. Scharf stated it would be no~al maintenance service <br />on his ~lst~5~rs cars. <br /> <br />Ms. Bovino made a motion to stent tile use variance, seconded <br />by F~'. Smit~. On roll call vote - F~'. Savelli - Aye, <br />S~i~] - Aye, F~'. Greco - Aye and Ms. Bovino - AYe. Fir. Lewis <br />Absent. <br /> <br />589 F~ST ~ ~TREET CORPOP~TION FOR PROPERTY EAST END OF <br />GILMORE BLVD. <br />Next on tile agenda was Mr. Harold Reill¥ representing <br />589 East Main Sta'eet Corporation seeking a variance to be <br />al-,le to build 10 single family homes in the Oak Park <br />DeveloL:~]ent at ~ilmore Blvd. for which six of t~e homes <br />will be built on lots with only 5,500 sq. ft. (t~e required <br />is 10,000 sq. ft.), front line setback is only 18 ft. <br />required is 25 ft) a,~d side line set.back is only 13 ft. (the <br />required is 15 ft. ). Secretary read lesal notice which <br />appeared in t~e Sout3lern Dutchess News and also stated <br />all properties within a 200 ft. radius of subject had been <br />furnished a copy of the legal notice. Secretary also stated <br />Dutchess County Department of Plannin~ had responded wit~ a <br />"mattel' of local concern" coam]ent. <br /> <br />Mr. Reilly first stated that lie is changing his application <br />frc~ 10 sinsle homes to 9 single homes.
