MINUTES OF ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING HELD 7/11100 <br /> <br />Present: Lloyd Frink, Chair, Harry Greco, Bob Morris, Newer Russell, Dave Crawford <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Charles McDonald <br /> Mayor Belding <br /> Rob Alfonso <br /> Jim Golc~ng <br /> Tom Visen~n <br /> <br />Dawna Chase <br />Yvette Walton <br />Larry ReichwaM <br />Sue. Maxterson <br /> <br />Meeting wast( called to order at 7:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Secretary took attendance and ail were present. <br /> <br />DA W1VA AND RA YtffOND CH~,gE. 16 DOWNEF A VENUE <br />First on the agenda was the public hearing on the request of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond <br />Chase seeking an area variance from the maximum building area (proposed is 4L5% <br />coverage and allowed is 30% coverage) at 16 Downey AVenue. Previous variances for <br />front, side and rear setback have been previonsly grantea~ Applicant presented Board <br />with confirmation that legal notice had been published in the Poughkeepsie Journal and <br />receipts of legal notice mailings. Mr. McDonald representing applicant stated that at his <br />last appearance there was an error in the plans - surveyor stated there was 150 'frontage <br />and actually there is only l O0 'frontage. All previous pictures and testimony that were <br />submitted are still the same the only difference is~ with the correct frontage the land <br />coverage is over the maximum allowed Mr. Greco asked if the sidelines wouM be <br />changed and applicant stated no other dimensian wouM be changed and there wouM still <br />be sufficient off-street parking. It was stated that there was no one in the audience for or <br />against this proposal. After informal discussion Mr. Greco mada a motion to approve <br />the variance, seconded by Mr. Morri~ On roll call vote - Mr. Greco - Aye, Mr. Morris - <br />Aye, Mr. ?'rink - Aye, Mr. Crawford - Aye and Mr. Russell - Aye. <br /> <br />Mr. Frink stated that before the Board goes forward with the agenda he wouM like to <br />mention a few items. Slated for #4 on the age~'_ri,a_ is a discussion on the Bottini matter. <br />Mr. Frink would like to move this item to last on the agenda because Attorney Viglotti is <br />not included in this discussion arM Mr. Frink wouM like to have Attorney Viglotti present <br />for the remainder of the meeting. Mr. Frink wouM also like to add an informal <br />discussion by Mr. Iverson for 108 Market Street on the age~da He asked the Board if <br />they had arty objections to these two changes in the agenda No objections. <br /> <br />HOME DEPOT. IMPERIAL pI~4ZA. ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda is a public hearing on the request of Home Depot, U.$,4., Inc., <br />Imperial Plaza seeking an area variance to be allowed to have more signage than <br />allowed by code. Mr. Jim Golden, Collins Sign Company represented the Home Depot. <br /> <br /> <br />
