MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 2/12/04 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chair, Rob Alfonso, Vice Chair, Don McCormick, George <br />Moran and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Absent: Matt Alexander <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Eileen Sassmann <br /> Barbara Fitzgerald <br /> Mike Witkowski <br /> Michele Grieg <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Ed DeLaurentis <br /> <br />Gary Leonard <br />Mike Miller <br />Cal Lawrence <br />Charles DelBene <br />Jim Sullivan <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to postpone the <br />approval of the January minutes until the next meeting. Motion seconded by Mr. Moran <br />and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />DREAMS~ I}UTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA~ ROUTE 9 <br />First item on the agenda was the proposed signs for "Dreams" located at the former <br />Club l#usionx 9Norlh in the Dutchess Shopping Plaza. Ms. Fitzgerald presented a copy <br />of the sign proposal. It was stated that the proposed sign wouM be smaller than the <br />previously approved sig~ for DV-8 located in the same location. Mr. Alfonso asked how <br />applicant wottM be directi~5g people or letting them know that the hallway is not a direct <br />access to the nighlc/ub. He stated he would install signs inside the hallway advising the <br />public where to enter the mghtclub. At this point Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve <br />the proposed sig~ contingent upon applicant: ~9 providing the Board with the lineal <br />footage of building so the (?ode Enforcement Officer can verify that all conforms to code, <br />(2) adding the height above ground level to the permit and (3) adding a small sign in the <br />hallwm., d#'ecting patrons to Dreams. Motion seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously <br />carried <br /> <br />PSYCHIC READING, 13 MORAN AVENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the proposed sign and informal appearance by MichaeI Miller <br />and Lupe Eli requesting permission to be able to use a portion ora residence at 13 <br />Moran Avenue for Psychic Reading business which will consist of advice by using tarot <br />card, palm and crystals and also sales of candles and crystals consulting people of the <br />power of the healing stones. Applicant presented the Board with a copy ora lease <br />agreeme,t.~br the record. Parking was discussed- it was shown on a sketch plan that <br />there are four parking *paces provided in the rear of the building. The proposed sign is <br />the same size and colors of the previous one that was approved It is' a two sided sign <br />3' x 5 '. Applicant stated he would be living in the house and using a portion of the <br />house Jbr their business. He also stated they wouM be the only occupants of the house. <br />He stated he wouM on/y be using one room of the house for their business. Applicant <br /> <br /> <br />
