ROUTE 9
First n the agenda was the appearance by representative of Futurama with changes to
proposed sign. Applicant presented the exact specifications for the sign and also it was
stated that color samples for the sign were on file. The only item that the Plann/ng Board
wanted to review was the size of the sign. It was stated that the new letters are not
channel letters because channel letters did not fit the criteria that the Planning Board was
looking for. It is a type of technique that the letters "push through." It was stated that the
applicant was staying with the internally lit letters for now. He is aware of the new sign
ordinances being proposed for the Village. Applicant stated that the letters project out
approximately ~A". It was stated that the area on the building where the sign would be
going is a recessed area - therefore applicant is going to use channel letters there.
Applicant agreed to frame the area.

Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the sign for Futurama as presented, seconded by
Mr. Moran. Unanimously approved. Mr. Alfonso would just like to say for the record
that he appreciated the way the applicant worked with the Board on the sign and took the
new proposed ordinances into consideration when the sign was designed.

ROLLING ROCK~ ROUTE 9
Next on the agenda is an appearance by representatives of Rolling Rock to discuss neon
trimming Mrs. Fitzgerald stated she would like to bring the Board 'hap to date" on what
is happening. Applicant filed an electrical/building permit with the Village. She went
on to state that just at the beginning of this week the dimmers were installed. Mr. Morris
stated since none of the Board members had a chance to see the dimmers/neon lights at
night lit, he suggested that they allow Rolling Rock to turn them on - give the Board a
chance to see them and then close out on it at the July meeting of the Planning Board.
Mr. Morris stated the office would call the applicant with their decision. Mr. Morris
asked how long the dimmers/neon lights would be on and applicant stated they would be
on from dusk to close - year round.
