MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD MARCH 2t 2000 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Visentin, Tom Morris (absent for voting of minutes), John Karge, <br /> George Moran, Rob Alfonso and Mary Ann Bolander, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Pete Setaro <br /> Don Walker <br /> Bill Bricldemaier <br /> Jack Mace <br /> Dave Millington <br /> <br />Tom Walsh <br />Bob Travis <br />Bob Gray <br />Don Swartz <br />Myrna Millington <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7.'33 p.m. Motion by Mr. Alfonso to amend the minutes of <br />the previous meeting as follows: Under Sedore and Company, 6th Line, should read <br />Planning Board will request applicant replace tree he is taking down with two smaller <br />ones. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to accept the minutes of the February 3 meeting as <br />amended, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. <br />PET FOOD BOWL~ IMPERIAL PLAZAt ROUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was the application of the Pet Food Bowl with an application for a <br />sign at the Imperial Plaza. The Board reviewed the permit and after determining that all <br />conformed to code, Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the sign, seconded by Mr. <br />Moran. Unanimously carried <br /> <br />DAVID MILLINGTON~ 11 WEST MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the informal appearance of David Millington to be able to open <br />a barber shop at 11 West Main Street. Mr. Visentin stated the only concern he had was <br />the parking situation. He stated he had asked applicant to do a survey of the parking on <br />the street so the Planning Board could get a feeling for the parking. Mr. Visentin stated <br />applicant must inform his customers if there is no on-street parking, he must inform his <br />customers to go to the municipal parking lot to park At this point Mr. Travis stated <br />applicant had to install a back flow preventer and hair interceptor and no certificate of <br />occupancy would be issued until this was done. <br /> <br />Mr. Karge made a motion to approve the barber shop contingent upon back flow <br />preventer and hair interceptor being installed& seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously <br />carried <br /> <br />HEART K1A CAR DEALERSHIP~ INTERSECTION OF ROUTE 9 AND LISS ROAD <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Heartland& Inc. with a propasal for a car <br />dealership at the above location. Applicant stated they found a drainage pipe that was <br />under silt and mud. They uncovered that and fixed up the end and there has not been a <br />problem since. Mr. Visentin recommended that applicant put in evergreens along the <br />residential border to act as a sound barrier. Applicant agreed and also stated they are <br />thinking about extending the existing fence that is now there. Mr. Visentin also <br />recommended to applicant that he put oil separators in storm drains. He also stated he <br /> <br /> <br />
