MINUTES OF THE PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD OCTOBER 7t 1999 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Visentin, Chair, Rob Alfonso, John Karge, George Moran <br /> <br />Absent: Tom Morris <br /> <br />Also present: <br /> <br />Elio Prizzi <br />Tim Serino <br />Stanley Straub <br />Ernie Martin <br />Steve Tinldeman <br />Bob Travis <br /> <br />Brian Cephas <br />Charles May <br />Ray and Barbara Marshall <br />David Schlam <br />Mayor Belding <br />Armand Alfonso <br /> <br />Before the start of the regular meeting Mr. May appeared before the Board representing <br />Berkeley Square with a request for a sign to be placed on Route 9 advertising the <br />apartment complex on Imperial Blvd. Applicant was told that there is a Village <br />ordinance stating you cannot put a sign on another parcel that is not directly related to <br />the parcel where the project is located. Applicant was also informed he could appeal to <br />the Zoning Board of Appeals for a variance if he so chooses. <br /> <br />Meeting of the Planning Board was called to order. Mr. Alfonso made a motion, <br />seconded by Mr. Moran to accept the minutes of the August meeting. Unanimously <br />approved Mr. Alfonso made a motion seconded by Mr. Moran to accept the minutes of <br />the September meeting. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />IMPERIAL PLAZA BARBERSt IMPERIAL PLAZA <br />First on the agenda was the applicant for the Imperial Plaza Barbers. Applicant stated <br />the owners of the plaza had taken down the old sign from the soccer store when they <br />renovated the fronts. The Planning Board reviewed the sigu permit application without a <br />sketch of the sign. Mr. Visentin stated applicant could bring in a drawing of the sign and <br />if all is conforming as per Zoning Enforcement Officer a permit can be issued. Mr. <br />Karge made a motion to approve the above sign contingent upon a drawing being given <br />to the Zoning Officer, seconded by Mr. Moran, Unanimously carried <br /> <br />AWNING S YS TE MS PL USt INC., 1217 R 0 UTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Awning Systems Plus, Inc. 1217 Route 9 with <br />the proposed sign to the awning at the above address. Applicant stated he has an awning <br />up right now. He is located in the former Dominoes Pizzeria. HE stated ~ that the <br />awning is back lit. It was stated that the signs were in conformance with the zoning <br />ordinance. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to accept the signs' as presented, seconded by Mr. <br />Moran.
