MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD MAY 7~ 1998 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Visentin, Chairman, Tom Morris, Vice Chairman, Rob Alfonso, George <br /> Moran, John Karge and Mary Ann Bolander, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Mary Townsend <br /> Eileen Masterson <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Richard Green <br /> Gwenn Freeman <br /> Trustee Juliano <br /> Trustee DiDomizio <br /> <br />Hank DiMarco <br />Armand Alfonso <br />Bob Fedigan <br />Bill Brown <br />Andy Klampert <br />Trustee Lawrence <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7.'32 p.m. Motion by Mr. Alfonso, seconded by Mr. <br />Moran to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. Mr. Visentin abstained from voting <br />on the minutes as he was not at the last meeting and Mr. Morris was late. On roll call <br />Vote - Mr. Alfonso - Aye, Mr. Karge - Aye and Mr. Moran - Aye. <br /> <br />BOB JULIANO FOR CRIME WATCH SIGNS THROUGH THE VILLAGE <br />Mr. Juliano presented a sign permit for 13 "crime watch" signs to be installed <br />throughout the Village. He stated that the Village board had voted unanimously to <br />approve the installation of these signs. He stated he would be taking other signs down <br />that stated "neighborhood watch" and would only have one sign per <br />pole. Mr. Juliano presented the Planning Board with a letter signed by the NYS <br />Department of Transportation stating they have no objection to the signs being installed <br />on their property. (copy of letter included in the Planning~Zoning files). Mr. Juliano <br />also presented a list of where the signs would be located. This list is also on file in the <br />Planning/Zoning offices. Mr. Visentin informed applicant not to mount signs where they <br />would obstruct visibility. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the signs, seconded by <br />Mr. Karge. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />GWENN FREEMANt 12 CREEKVIEW COURT <br />Next on the agenda was' the application of Ms. Gwenn Freeman requesting permission to <br />put a sign on her house advertising her family day care business. She presented her <br />application to the Board and stated that the sign would have a red background and white <br />Lettering. According to the code it must be aff'txed to the house and she understood this. <br />After reviewing her application for conformance, Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve <br />sign as submitted, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. Applicant was <br />informed she must go to the Zoning Office and pay her fee before she is allowed to put up <br />the sign. <br /> <br />BILL UTTER~ 9 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Mr. William Utter seeking permission from the <br />Planning Board (acting in their capacity as Architectural Review Board) to be able to <br />redo his storefront at 9 East Main Street.
