MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 4/2/98 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Rob Alfonso, George Moran, John Karge and Mary Ann Bolander <br /> <br />Absent: Tom Visentin <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Rick Cerino <br /> Frank Nicodemus <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Hank DiMarco <br /> Jim Hughes <br /> Martin Resek <br /> <br />Ruth Nicodemus <br />Elsa Nicodemus <br />Armand Alfonso <br />Barbara Fitzgerald <br />Max Mauer <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:35p. m. Motion by Mr. Alfonso, seconded by Mr. <br />Moran to accept the minutes of the previous meeting which were received by all <br />members by mail. Unanimously carried <br /> <br />ION/I POOLS, TRIANGLE ROUTE 9 AND OLD ROUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was the proposal by Mr. Hughes for two signs for the above location <br />for his and business by Mr. Shed. He stated that the signs will be placed on the Old Rt. 9 <br />and Rt. 9 sides of the fence. After reviewing the site plan it was determined that the <br />frontage of the property is 105 ft. which means they could have up to 200 sq. fl. of <br />signage. After informal discussion by the Board and the applicant it was decided that <br />each sign should be 5'x 20' and Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the two signs at <br />100 sq. ft. (5' x 20'), seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. Applicant was in- <br />structed to go to the Zoning Office for his permit and pay for the signs. <br /> <br />9X CORPORATION FOR NIGHTCLUB AT DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA <br />Next on the agenda was the informal appearance of Barbara Fitzgerald for a sign for the <br />nightclub at the Dutchess Shopping Plaza. Applicant stated she had not filled out a <br />permit yet but wanted to get the Board's feel for what type of sign they could have. The <br />Board stated they could not give any opinion until they see a sketch but that the applicant <br />would have to go by the rules and regulations of the zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />MRS. RUTH NICODEMUS, 9 MORAN A VENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Mrs. Nicodemus for property she owns at 9 <br />Moran Avenue to be able to have a beauty parlor/nail salon on the first floor. She stated <br />she is zoned OB but was using the house as a two family rental. She will keep the rental <br />tenant on the second ftoor and only use the first floor for the business. She stated that <br />her driveway goes out to Route 9. She also stated she has a hard time getting and <br />keeping reputable tenants' because of all the commercial establishments around her. Mr. <br />Morris asked her for the square footage of where in the building the businesses will be in <br /> <br /> <br />
