MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 1/8/98 <br /> <br />Present; Tom Visentin, Tom Morris, George Moran, Rob Alfonso and Mary Ann Bolander <br /> <br />Absent: John Karge <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Art Maddox <br /> Peter Brent <br /> Don Walker <br /> Bob Fedigan <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. DeSantis <br />Mayor Belding <br />Gwenn Freeman <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7.'33 p.m. Motion by Mr. Alfonso, seconded by Mr. Moran to <br />accept the minutes of the previous meeting. On roll call vote - Mr. Visentin - Aye, Mr. Moran - <br />Aye, Mr. Alfonso - Aye, Mr. Morris - Abstained (was absent from previous meeting) and Mr. <br />Karge - absent. <br /> <br />BOX SEAT. 32 MARKET ST. }VAPPINGERS F~4LLLg <br />First item on the agenda was the sign permit application of Box Seat for the addition of a wall <br />sign. Mr. Maddox stated it was not illuminated and afler reviewing the permit and seeing that <br />all conformed to code Mr. Morris made a motion to approve the sign as proposed seconded by <br />Mr. Alfonso. Unanimously carried <br /> <br />MR. AND MRS. DESANTIS, 30 HIGH STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Mr. and Mrs. DeSantis for a lot line adjustment at 30 <br />High Street. Applicant stated they had gone to the ZBA and received a variance for an under- <br />sized lot that was being created After reviewing site plan Mr. Morris made a motion to approve <br />the lot line adjustment contingent upon (1) variance being noted on the plan and (2) owners <br />consent being added on the plan. Motion was seconded by Mr. Morart Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />G WENN FREEMAN, 12 CREEK VIEW COURT <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Ms. Gwenn Freeman with a proposal to open a family <br />day care at her home at the above address. She stated she was allowed to have up to 12 children <br />ages 5~6per adult but if she had two babies she could only have 8 children. She would be <br />opened between 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. She would be doing this from <br />her home. She stated she is not a day care center but group family day care. She went on to <br />state that parents would be dropping off the children and picking them up and she presented a <br />letter indicating she had been approved by the State to do this. The Planning Board <br />recommended she fence in her yard for the safety of the children and asked if there were any way <br />she couM stagger the traffic. Mr. Morris reminded Ms. Freeman that we have a noise ordinance <br />in the Village and if she intended to put up a sign she would have to get a permit. The sign could <br />only be 2 sq. fi. <br /> <br />Mr. Alfonso made a motion to accept the plan as presented seconded by Mr. Morris. <br />Unanimously accepted <br /> <br /> <br />
