Visentin read a letter dated 2/13/95
from the Depa~nt of ~ans~ation s~ating it is illegal
fo~ signs to be within a s~a%e right of wa~. Copy of let%er
on file in the Planni~/Zoni~ office. Mr. Visentin stated
personally he is not opposed %o havi~ signs ha~ing over the
sidewalk on.in Street. He went on %o state that the
Pl~ni~ Board would like %o review sign pe~i~s for two
reason: what kind of signs are bei~ put up and what kind
of si~n desig~ are bei~ proposed. The reason for the
latter is the Planni~ Board would l~e ~o keep some kind of
control over the types of sisns bein~ installed in the
business dis%riot which the busines~n have spent a great
deal of %~ and enemy to ~et grant money for to m~e the
central business district look a little better.

Mr. Visentin then read a letter he had written to the Board
of T~astees. Basically what he had said in the letter is
that the Planning Board plans to comply/adhere to the
directive of the DOT. The Planning Board recc~muends that the
Village Board of T~ustees review the ordinance and change
