Special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on <br /> <br />Tuesday, October 23, 1990 at 7:00 P.M in the Village H~ll. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hemingway, Tr. Fisch, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. Buckley, <br />Tr. Bovino, Tr. Kolb, Tr. Costello & Atty. Viglot%i <br /> <br />~enda: <br /> <br />Action on proposals for Leaf pick up at Mesier Park: <br />Tr. Kolb reported he had. received two estimates for the above service: <br /> <br />James Baisley: $1,000. <br />Lehigh Lawn Service: $1,600. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Kolb, seconded by Tr. Bovino that the low estimate <br />from James Baisley be accepted. Carried. <br /> <br />Action on contract for Engineering services re: Wappingers Lake Dam: <br />Tr. Kolb reported the following proposals have been received: <br /> <br />KleinsChmitt Associates: <br /> <br />Satterthwaite Associates: <br /> <br />$49,000.00 <br /> <br /> 65,181.00 (1) <br /> 59,365.00 (2) <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Kolb, seconded by Tr. Buckley that the Kleinschmitt <br />proposal in the amount of $49,000. be accepted, provided it meets <br />the requirements dictated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission <br />are satisfied. <br /> <br />Tr. Kolb reported Might Development will front Village $16,500. to <br />help defray costs of this proposal. <br /> <br />Tr. Napoleon reported a Dam Stability study had been conducted <br />previously. <br />He stated there were questions as to maintenance of the dam and <br />inquired if contract was legal once they commenced generating <br />electricity, if government mandates had not been met. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti reported Village has been pursued by DEC to fulfill <br />maintenance and repair obligations. <br />He stated Might proposed to extend its cooperation and assistance <br />to the extent of being consistent with the agreement and to bring <br />the dam into compliance with FERC requirements. <br /> <br />Tr. Fisch reported original contract with Electro Ecology provided <br />for remedial repairs being carried out by both parties. <br /> <br />Tr. NapOleon reported he couldn't find any funding in present budget <br />for the Dam and Tr. Fisch replied there was, including royalties <br />from electricity being generated. <br /> <br /> <br />
