The second monthly m~ting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 5-26-93 at <br />7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hin~m%nn, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. DiDc~izio, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, Tr. <br />Bain, Tr. usavich and Vtty. Viglotti. <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Noone, representative of the Knights of Columbus, addressed meeting concern- <br />lng his recent request to conduct a Coin Drop on Rte. 9 as a fund raiser for <br />charitable causes. <br />He stated volunteers w~]__d be utilizing traffic cones, signs, bright red shirts <br />and w~uld be announcing themselves well in advance. <br />Mr. Noone reported they had no previous problems with Police agencies and ~uld <br />only approach cars when they are stopped at the light. <br /> <br />MDtion by Tr. DiDcmizio', seconded by Tr. Shay that permission be granted to cc~duct <br />one coin drop on June 19, 1993 and, if it is conducted satisfactorily, tbsy could <br />apply for a second one. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Raymond Pantaleo, 13 North St., discussed a drain in front of his driveway <br />which causes car to bottom out damaging same. <br />He stated this probl~ b~-~ been reviewed previously but no remedial action taken. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDc~izio reported problen has been investigated and moving drain would not <br />be feasible as same is located over a culvert that runs frcm Delavergne Ave. to <br />Saint Mary' s ceneta~y. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on possible solutions and Supt. Marsbmll to follow up on s~ne. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio discussed proposed Clean Up days r~orting schedule will be published <br />next week pending confin~ation frc~ Royal. <br /> <br />Tr. Napoleon discussed revised billing for the Garbage District repore~ng as of <br />June 1st we will start a c~3~rterly billing which will beu~fit senior citizens and <br />onwers of large apartment c~lexes. <br />He also stated that only 45% of Village residents were recycling and, und~ e~ State <br />law, violators can be prosecuted. <br />Tr. NapOleon reported recycling has a definite, impact on tipping fees. <br /> <br />Oc~manications: <br />Report of E~mm~nation by the Office of the State C~3croller has been. filed in <br />the office of the Village Clerk where it is a public record and available for insp- <br />ection by any interested person. <br /> <br />Tr. Napoleon reported Village Board should respond to the c~,,~nts outlined in the <br />report and, according to Village Law, we should make arrangements to audit the Village <br />accounts o <br /> <br />Tr. Bain discussed deficit in the Water funds report4 ng same can be repaid over a <br />period of years. <br /> <br />Letter frc~ Mary Ann DiStefano, 5 Walnut Dr., in reference to a tree on Village <br />property wbih is in deteriorated condition causing a safety hazard. Referred to <br />Public Works. <br /> <br /> <br />
