The second mgnthly meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on July 28, <br />~993 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hin~ann, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. Dirxanizio, Tr, Shay, Tr. Traver, Tr. <br />Bain, Tr. Usavich and Atty. ~urtley. <br /> <br />Discussion on Codification: <br /> <br />To be taken up later in meeting. <br /> <br />C.~r.a LB L Ll.lrl~ catio~: <br />Zoning Officer's report of fees collected for June, 1993 and same .is on file at the <br />Village Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. D~zio, seconded by Tr. Traver that the above report be accepted. <br />CArried. <br /> <br />Letter frcx~ W.T. Garner Engine Co. r~porting David J. Duckwitz elected to active <br />n~mbership. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDcmizio, seconded by Tr, Traver that the above action be ratified. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Letter frcm the S.W. Johnson Engine Co. requesting the Village authorize~4 the install- <br />ation of lawful energency, electrical Exit signs at the Firehouse. <br /> <br />Tr. Traver reported Bilco doors in the rear of the Garner Fire House are deterior- <br />ating and are in a ~erous state and windows in the front r.~ replacing. <br /> <br />Above requests referred to Fire CuLu,{ttee for action. <br /> <br />Letter frc~ Village assessor Wa/kef outlining increased inccme limits municipalities <br />can establish,after Public Hearing, in conjunction with the over 65 Exemption. <br /> <br />It was recc~mllended a Public Hearing be scheduled for 8-11-93 at 7:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Letter received frcm Bruce Feron for Hollowbrook Associates, requesting the Village <br />install a minimum of two street lights on existent poles at the netrance to Hollow- <br />brook Park. <br /> <br />Tr. Shay reported he had inspected the area and there were no poles at the entrance <br />to the Park, but there were two poles on Myers Corners Road. <br />He stated Central ~_dson has petitioned the Town of Wa ppinger to install 2 lights <br />at the entrance and, since this wasn't a Village street, he didn't feel the Village <br />was obligated to take any action. <br /> <br />Letter frcm Mr. Stanley Straub for the Wappingers Falls Business and Professional <br />Association requesting tb~ Village consider applying for Econ~uic Develox~ant Zone <br />designation fr~u the NYS Urban Develo~x~ent Corp. which could result in priority <br />review of the Feasibility Stu~y grant application and ~ther funding sources through- <br />out the Mtate. Copies to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr, Shay, seconded by Tr, Bain that the Village apply for the above pro- <br />vided it doesn't entail any legal complications.
