A special n~c~cing of the Mayor adz] Village Board of Trustccs was held on Tuesday, <br />January 18, 1994 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hin~nn, Tr. Napoleon, Tr, D~zio, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, <br />Tr. Bain, Tr. Usavich & Atty. Viglotti <br /> <br />Also present: Police CuL,~dssioner Tezwilliger and Highway Supt. Marshall. <br /> <br />Report on purcbmse of a Highw~ truck: <br /> <br />Tr. D~zio discussed problems they were facing with sn~ removal, using old <br />worn out equipment. <br />He stated purchase of a now truck had ~n postponed for t~D years and nccd was <br />now imminent. <br /> <br />Highway Superintendent Marshall recum~nded the purchase of a 3~4 ten Pick-up <br />truck, with plow an~ 4 wheel drive, preferably through State contract. <br /> <br />Tr. Usavich reported a new Police car was r~c~ed in addition to a Higtyway truck <br />but we should investigage our budget status before any action is taken. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the need for a m~w truck. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the definite need for a new Police car. <br /> <br />It was determined funds %~re needed for inmediate requirements until we have had <br />an opportunity to reviow our over all status and to address tb~ Highway and Police <br />nccc]s with entire budget underst~x~ng . <br /> <br />Tr. DiDcmizio reported we have an obligation to [ provide services ~z~ the residents <br />of this Village and, if we have to finance equitmnent, so be it. <br /> <br />It was recc~nended a Workshop be scheduled with the ~reasurer to review financial <br />status and buudgetazy ~xpenditures. <br /> <br />Approximate cost of Highway truck and plow ($20,000.), & Police car ($15,000.) <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDcmizio, seconded by Tr. Shay that authorization be given to <br />purchase a Highway truck and Police car,. at the above mentioned cost, in addition <br />to the rent~! of a Loader for snow removal. <br /> <br />Vehicles to be purchased through State contract, provided fumdjng is available <br />and the Treasurer be authorized to transfer monies for the rental of a loader <br />for snow removal e~ergency, if need be. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Usavich, seconded by Tr. Napoleon that Ray Alonzo be re-hired as <br />a part time Police Officer, Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Usavich, seconded by Tr. Shay that the hours of two part <br />Police Office=rs beextended to cover Lieut. McCord's absence. Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
