The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />Febzu~ry 9, 1994 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hinmrmnn, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. DiDimozio, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, <br />U~avi~h and Atty. Viglotti. Tr. <br /> <br />Resolution: re: Old Tax Liens <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, THE RECORDS OF THE VILTAGE OF W~PPIN~S FAT~.q indicate that the Village <br />hold a ntmlber of outstanding tax liens, some going back scm~ forty-four (44) years; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after SUch a period of time, the location of scme of these parcels is <br />sc~svfnat speculative, and a title search appearing to be not cost effective in <br />light of the unlikely propsect of collection of ss~e; <br /> <br /> NCK4, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that SUch liens pre-da~ng 1950, in the total <br />amount of $61.17 are deferral nd to be uneolleotible and tb~ Treasurem is directed <br />to conform tb~ records aceordingly. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Traver, seconded by Tr. Shay that the above resolution be adopted. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Resolution Accep*_in9 A~count of Unpaid Taxes: <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. DiDcmizio that the following resolution <br />be adopted: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Village Treasurer has delivered to this Board of Trustses an <br />account of the unpaid Village ~xes as of February 1, 1994, together with a <br />verified statement that the taxes mentioned in such account remain unpaid, <br />and that she is unable to collect the same, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Trus ~tccs b~s compared the account with the original <br />tax roll, and has found the same to be a tl~_e transcript, <br /> <br /> NOW, THR. REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT A CM.~IFICATE SHALL BE EXE(J3'i~ BY THE <br />members of this Board reciting that the account has ~n so oa-,~ared .and found <br />it to be correct; that SUch certificate shall.be attached to said account, and <br />shall state the total amount of taxes unpaid to be in the s~n of $215,620.52; and <br />that all of the foregoing facts, together with this resolution, shall be included <br />in the official minutes of the proceedings of this Board and that the ~x roll <br />and warrant shall then be filed in the office of the Village Clerk, where a copy <br />of such roll shall be permamently re~a~ ned as a public record. <br /> <br />Resolution unanin~usly adopted. <br /> <br />Maintenance of R~creational facilities: <br />b~tion tabled until the next Village Board n~cting. <br /> <br /> <br />
