The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, 3-9-94 <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hin~naru~, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. DiDc~izio, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, Tr. Bain, <br />Tr. Usavich and Atty. Viglotti. <br /> <br />Minutess: <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting held Feb. 9, 1994 had been duplicated and prev- <br />iously presented to Board memb~_rs. <br /> <br />.Motion by Tr. DiDcmizio, seconded by Tr. Shay that the above minutes be accepted as <br />written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Tony Caparco addressed meeting in reference to the Village's Little League Program <br />stating same has merged with the Town of Poughkeepsie and the Town of Wappinger due <br />to the decreasing numbers which are participating but were still seeking use of the <br />Village's Little League fields for this season's program. <br /> they <br />Mr. Henry Probst, Town of Wappinger Little League President, stated/would work closely <br />with Village personnel and, since they would be incorporating approximately 135 Village <br />youth in their program, they would nc~ exclusive use of these additional fields. <br /> <br />He discussed program and Village's participation in s~ne stating Insurance c~nverage <br />would be provided through the Little League organization and fields would be used <br />two nights a week, excluding rainouts, and possibly one day of f_he weekend. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Traver, seconded by Tr. DiDcmizio tb~t permission be granted above <br />request. Carried. <br /> <br />Village Justices' reports and the SuL,,m~ of zoning fccs collected in February, 1994 <br />are of file at the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Letter frc~ Mrs. Catherine Lyons, President of the Wappingers Historical Society, <br />requesting permission to continue the use of the Village Hall for their monthly <br />meetings, the second Thursday of each month. Copies to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. Shay that permission be granted the above request. <br /> <br />Letter frc~ Barbara Mika, Program Coordinator for the Association for ~t_Arded Citizens, <br />Dutchess County, N.Y., in reference to a safety issue which has plagued the residents <br />of their Pessia House on Upoer Henry Street. for sc~etime, She requests official auth- <br />orization for some kind of crossing protection on Route 9D so as these disabled w~ren <br />can cross safely to catch a bus enroute to work. Gopies forwarded Trustees and Ccnm~ <br />issioner Tezwilliger. <br /> <br />C~mmissioner Terwilliger reported he bas D~ver spoken to Mrs. Mika nor bas he received <br />a cc~munication but was willing to discuss this problem with her in an effort to <br />negotiate a solution. <br /> <br />Mr. Hank DiMarco discussed the volume of traffic which travels along Route 9D through' <br />the Village creating a real problem. <br /> <br />Letter from the S.W. Johnson Engine Co. reporf~ng Christopher Greene was elected to <br />active membership; the Cc~Npany approved changes to their By-Laws, available for review <br /> <br /> <br />
