A special meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustccs was held on Thursday, <br />April 28, 1994 for two specific agenda matters: <br /> <br />7:00 P.M. - Adoption of the 1994-95 Village budget. <br /> <br />7:15 P.M. - Action on Personnel matters. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hinzmann, Tr. DiDcmizio, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver. Tr. H~mingway, <br />Atty. Viglotti, Treasurer Masterson and Police Cc~missioner Terwilliger. <br /> <br />Mayor Hin~nann reP°rtedproposed budget shows to~] Appropriations at $3,906,373., <br />total Revenues at $2,114,938. and balance for tax levy set at $1,791,435. <br />He stated tax rate w~s set at $110.00 per thousand. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinm~nn reported one of the ma~n reasons for the increased tax rate was the <br />nc~ for two new Police vehicles which were long overdue. <br /> <br />Treasurer Masterscn reported $6.00 increase in tax rate would amount to an approx- <br />imate $40.00 tax increase on the average hc~e. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Shay, seconded by Tr. Hemingway that the Village adopt the 1994-95 <br />Village budget, as presented this evening, after revisions. Carried. <br /> <br />.Motion by Tr. Hemingway, sec onded by Tr. Shay, that Michael Barbagallo and Mark <br />Newman be appointed part time hourly Police Officers. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by <br />appointed <br />resigned. <br /> <br />Tr. Hemingway, seconded by Tr. Shay, that William Michael Goebel be <br />Third Ward Trustee, filling the unexpired term of Trustee Bain, who <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Traver, seconded by Tr. Shay t_hat w~_~t~ng go into Executive session. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Executive session. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Shay, seconded by Tr. Traver that the Village accept the findings of the <br />Hearing Officer re~alting frcm disciplinary action brought against Lieutenant <br />William J. McCord and, based upon these findings and the past disciplinary reoord <br />of the Lieut., all of which w~re reviewed by the Board, Mr. McCord be dismissed as a <br />member of the Wappingers Falls Police Department, as of this date, and he be directed <br />to surrender all weapons issued him under his shield.
