The regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees was held <br />Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hinm~ann, Tr. DiDcmizio, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, Tr. <br />Hsmtlngway, Tr. Goebel and Atty. Viglotti. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br /> <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees <br />held June 8, 1994 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members, <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Shay seconded by Tr. D~Zio that the above minutes be accepted as <br />written. Carried. <br /> <br />Request frcm Mr,i John Drano and Mr. Gene Noone to address ~n~-cting re: Two Hour <br />Parking ordiD~nce. <br /> <br />Mr. John Fumo, owner of 42 West Main St., addressed m~cting stating he was concerned <br />with section 3 of the ordinance which was the area frc~ Givans Ave. to~ Church St. <br />He stated he sympathized with merchants along East Main St. with cars overparked in <br />front of their businesses but there w~re just 3 c~ going businesses along West Ma~n <br />Strcct, the rest b~-~ng residential. <br /> <br />Mr. Fumo repor~ f/lere wasn't adec~l_ate ~parking for his tenants and reco~ this <br />section of the ordinance be rescinded. <br />He stated merchants and residents along East Main St. will soon be getting relief <br />with the comstruction of a parking lot on Mill Street. <br />Mr. Fumo read a petition he solicited frcm residents along West Main St., <br />requesting ~ the ordinance be rescinded as it created a hardship in this area. <br /> <br />Tr. Shay recu~,,L~nded a Public Hearing be scheduled for public input as to whether this <br />section of the law should be amended. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on enforcemnt of ordinance and it was determim~d that enforc~mer~t <br />of this section be deferred pending outocme of the Hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Ge_ne Noone, owner of O'Tcole's, West Main St., voiced his objection also as <br />his wife was at the business throughout the day and it would he inpossible to be <br />moving the car every two hours, <br /> <br />Other mercb~unts and residents present voiced their disapproval also as ordinance <br />proved a hardship and Mayor Hinzmann assured everyone present t_hat their statements <br />~uld be taken into consideration, <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Tha-~son, representing the Lake C~ttee, addressed n~+~ng in reference <br />to c~-~tittee's concern to raise monies for Lake restoration. <br />He stated oh'~,~,~ttee was fo~ by the Village Board to address the ooncerns of the <br />Lake and their goal was to effect restoration for recreation tmzrposes. <br /> <br />Mr. Thompson reported thor main concern was funding as the Village has ~cn <br />unsuccessful in the past filing for grants and there was no monies available in <br /> <br /> <br />
