The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 1-11-84 <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Tr. Greco, Tr. Cioppa, Tr. Costa~ Tr. Mazochi, Tr. ~errego & <br />Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Absent: Mayor Synnett, due to death in family,; Tr. Carey~ due to illness. <br /> <br />Tr. Costa conducted meeting as Acting Mayor. <br /> <br />Minutesi <br />Minutes of a Public Hearing and the regular Village Board meeting held on <br />12-14-83 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Perrego that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Martinez, 14 Dutchess Ave.~ addressed meeting stating that for the <br />past two months there has been no police patrols in the area and she was <br />concerned. She reported vandelism to cars in her driveway whereby tools <br />were stolen. <br /> <br />Tr. Perre9o rel~orted they were aware of situation and night patrol was to <br />handle situation. He stated this would be referred to Police Comm. for action. <br /> <br />Mrs. Martin Durkin¢d addressed meeting reporting for the past 3~ years she <br />has had hard water which was ruining her appliances. <br /> <br />Tr. Perrego reported we were mandated by the Health Dept. to discontinue <br />bakkwash into the lake. He stated they were working to draian same into the <br />sewer system and they anticipate it will take at least 12 months to initiatep <br />following Health Dept. approval. <br /> <br />Tr. Mazoch~reported Villa9e was not obli.~ated to provide soft water. <br /> <br />Tr. Cioppa reported progress wa~ held up due to problems with Tri-Municipal <br />but no~ progress should be made and tank has to be refurbished. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported this was the only alternate method. <br /> <br />Tr. Oerrego reported Village aware of people dealing with hard water. <br /> <br />Mrs. Durkin reported Village should make residents aware of the problem by <br />publishin9 same. <br /> <br />Eng. Paggi reported he was working, for a 1~ yr. to put softners back on <br />line and the sewer system was the only solution. <br /> <br />Acting MayOr Costa reported Village was doing everything possible to resolve <br />the problem. <br /> <br /> <br />
