A workshop session was held on 4-18-84 at 5:00 P.M. concerning the <br />conditions along Rte. 9d in the Village. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Cioppa, Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi and Mr. Louis <br />DuBois, Field tngineer for NYSDOT on the project, <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported signs needed replacing and Mr. DuBois replied only <br />item on agenda was drainaoe. <br /> <br />Mr. DuBois reported that during a recent storm there were no problems <br />except a clogged drain at the Post Office. <br /> <br />Tr. Masochi reported there was a problem with drainage at the intersection <br />of Convent Ave. and Mr. DuBois replied that, in order to eliminate a hazard <br />on the turn, they had to bank the road. <br /> <br />Tr. Nazochi reported they changed the pitch of the road and Mr. DuBois <br />replied there was no provision for drainage in the contract, <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported they State agreed to correct drainage. <br /> <br />Tr. Costa repo~ted the old dumpsite property had been disturbed after the <br />Village spent $9000. to grade the property. <br />Tr. Costa to meet with Mr. DuBois on 4-119-84 to evaluate this problem <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett discussed West Main St. drainage stat~ing that~ before project <br />was started, existing drains were taken out. <br /> <br />Mr. DuBois discussed Delavergne Ave. drainage. <br /> <br />Tr. Mazochi suggested installing catch basin on the other side of Convent <br />Ave. and Mr. OuBois replied this was the only solution. <br /> <br />Mayor Slmnett discussed broken sewer pipe on South Ave. between Carmine <br />Dr. and ~aple St. <br /> <br />Hr. DuBois reported trailer at Water Dept. will be removed next week. <br /> <br />It was recommended contacting NYS DEC oncerning illegal dumping between <br />Tarquini and Thornton properties. <br /> <br />Tr. Cioppa reported he had three complaints concerning the Rte, 9D project. <br />1. Broken storm door; 2. borken fence. 3. Sidewalk pitching in wrong direction. <br /> <br />Mr. DuBois reported he would investigate complaints. <br /> <br />Meeting closed 5:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
