Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />9, 1984 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br /> Present: Mayor Synnett. Tr. Cioppa, Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi, Tr. Catty and <br /> Atty. R.eilty. <br /> <br />Mrs. Nussickel addressed meeting reporting'she was continuing work with the <br />Visual anv.ironmental Com. and will continue with program for the flower pots <br />and trash receptacles. She reported planners will meet on June 3s 1984 at <br />1:O0 P.M. in front of the Library. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported Village will investigate the acquisition of barrels <br />at various locations. <br /> <br />Mrs. Martinez requested permission for the Little League Ladies Auxilary <br />to conduct a yard sale at Veterans Park for which the parents will donate <br />the items. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costa, seconded by Tr. Catty that permission be granted the <br />above request for a weekend in June, Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Howard Benjamin discussed the problem with debris by his bldg. at the <br />corner of East Main and Market St. He reported Village dumped snow on same <br />and he couldn't remove same. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported this has been referred to Public Works Comm. and they <br />will report back to him. <br /> <br />Mrs. Crosby discussed drainage problem at the corner of Remsen Ave. and <br />Brookside Dz. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported Village will investigate problem and report back to <br />her. <br /> <br />Mrs. Disnuk who operates the Advanced Answering Service, 25 Remsen Ave. N., <br />addreaeed meeting in reference to lack of Police protection. She reported <br />she 'had a serious problem on 4-24-84 and there was only one police officer <br />on duty. .~ <br /> <br />Tr. Costa replied that, at that particular time~ Officer was tied up on an <br />assault charge and following same responded to call. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on vandalism in the area and Mayor Synnett replied <br />Patrols have been increased in the area and we were doing the best we could <br />within the whole Village. <br /> <br />Hr. Angel addressed meeting relative to sewer hook ups at Imperial Towers and <br />Rock Ledge. <br /> <br />Tr. Mazochi stated he had strong reservations about new construction at <br />Rock Ledge due to the deteriorated conditions of the Clinton St. line. <br />He stated renovations would have to be made before anything else. <br /> <br /> <br />
