Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on.8-B-B4 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the American Legion Hall, <br /> <br />Present= Mayor Synnett, Tgustees Boyle, Cioppa, Costa, and Greco; <br />Attorney Reilly. Trustee Cagey at a meeting in Westchester, Trustee <br />Mazochi on vacation. <br /> <br />Minutest <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting and a workshop meeting held <br />July 18,1984 had been duplicated and pgeviou~ly presented to the <br />Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Graco, seconded by Trustee Boyle that the above <br />minutes be accepted as written. -carried. <br /> <br />Agenda= <br /> <br />Mr. Nunzio Raffaele of North Street inquired as to the ston~ sewer <br />problem on his property and when it would be corrected. <br /> <br />Trustee Costa stated that he had directed the Highway crew to block <br />off the sewer and had been advised that the previous drainage line <br />had been under the house and that Hr. Raffaele had it diverted to <br />between the property lines. It was his information that the old <br />line had been disconnected and the Highway crew advised him that it <br />had been capped of.f. <br /> <br />Mr. Raffa~e said that a member of the Highway crew had tried to cap <br />it with cinder blocks but that the job done was inadequate. He <br />disputed the responsibility for the problem saying that the line was <br />there before he moved into the house and it was re-routed because <br />there was no easement for it.in the deed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Berinato stated that that was an old, pre-existing line <br />befogs Mr. Raffaele owned the premises. <br /> <br />Tgustee Graco inquired whege was the location o~ ~he cap-off, <br /> <br />Mr. Raffaele stated that it was right in front of his house, and <br />although an attempt had been made to cap it, it still backed-up. <br /> <br />Trustee Costa telephoned Superintendent Sidote~ who then~spoke with <br />Mr. Raffaele. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Cioppa, seconded by Trustee Graco that the Village <br />Engineer inspect the situation with the Highway Superintendent. <br />-cagried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Villani of B. Main Street inquired why the Cablevision rates <br />increased without notice. <br /> <br />Trustee Greco explained that the Village Board had turned down the <br />Company's request for a rate increase, but it had been appealed to <br />Albany which had granted an increase of about $1.50 per month. <br /> <br /> <br />
