<br />Minutes following the 9/12/2007 Board Meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the meeting stating a change in the format of the agenda is <br />needed to allow Department Managers to provide their reports first to avoid unnecessary <br />time spent by them waiting for the public hearings to conclude. Board agreed. The Mayor <br />also pointed out that hanging in the rear of the room is a map of village streets <br />highlighted and keyed in various colors showing street conditions which the Highway <br />Department Superintendent and others ranked to achieve priority for future replacement <br /> Community Development Block Grant <br />or major repairs. Mayor Alexander also said the <br />Program ( <br />aka CDBG) Grant application this year will be for Delavergne Avenue <br />restoration to include a larger water line which will serve the entire village. More <br />discussion to follow during the project proposal hearing. <br /> <br />DMR:H,T,P,B/Z <br />EPARTMENT ANAGERS EPORTS IGHWAY REASURER OLICE UILDINGONE <br />C’. <br />AND LERKS <br />Highway Department Superintendent Marshall provided his report followed by Treasurer <br />Brown, Code Enforcement Officer Fenton, Village Clerk Karge and Police Lt. Birdsell. <br />Please note Lt. Birdsell arrived 20 minutes past the established time of 7 P.M. for the <br />second time he was also late last month. Motion by Trustee Cerino to accept the reports <br />as presented. Seconded by Trustee Marshall. Carried. <br /> <br />PH <br /> at 7:10 P.M. Local Law # 5 amended to Local Law #7 . Truck <br />UBLIC EARING <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the hearing and the Clerk read the legal notice and proposed <br />local law. Trustee Italiano expressed disappointment in that the proposed local law did <br />not include specific streets in the first ward as well. Other comments with respect to the <br />truck weight limits were also discussed and determined to be inaccurate. The Board <br />decided to revisit the proposed local law with the legislative committee and Village <br />Attorney Viglotti. The public hearing is not closed commented Trustee Marshall. Trustee <br />Cerino pointed out that since the proposed local law would not be voted on today the <br />following proposed local laws numbering sequence must be change to avoid delays in <br />processing with the Department of State. Board agreed. Mayor Alexander asked if there <br />were any other questions from either the Board Members or the public, none replied. <br />th <br />Continuation of said hearing to take place on October 10. 2007. <br /> <br />PH <br /> at 7:20 P.M. Local Law #6 amended to Local Law #5. Snow <br />UBLIC EARING <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the hearing and the Clerk read the legal notice and proposed <br />local law. Trustee Italiano asked if this local law changed previous policy. Trustee Cerino <br />said, no, it provides an up-to-date reflection of the villages position with respect to the <br />Snow Ordinance. Questions were asked about residents or property owners who do not <br />remove snow or ice within a 24 hour period following the cessation of snow or ice. <br />Zoning Enforcement Office Fenton said he is working on measures to have punitive <br />action taken against those in violation.
