A Workshop session was held on g-11-84 at 1030 A~ to discuss the Rte. 9D project. The following were present = Hayor Synnett, Tr. Greco~ Tr. Ciop~a~ Tr. Costa, Tr. Hazochi~ Zoning Officer Haubennestel~ Highway Supt. S/dote. NYS DOT: Hr. Albert J. Bau~_~.n, Hr. Albert ~. Dickson & Hr. Fred Sl&ter. Saint Hary~s Church: Father Hickey ad Trustees Frank Savelli and Larry Oliva. Hayor Synnett reputed purpose of the meeting was to discuss traffic light on Nest Hain St. at the intersection with ClintOn St. The Board was not satiSfied~ in general, with the Rte. 9D project; workmanship was not coordinated right; Firehouse an~ School signs, should be replace. Father 'H~ckey, Pastor O~ Saint Mary's Church; re~rted he wrote NYS ~ req~sti~ a tr~iic light at t~ intersection of ~est Main St. and Clinton St. due to tr~ic c~9estion.He stated they replied advls~ng that the ffl~ o~ traffftc was 9rearer at the intersection o~ ~est Main St. and De laveggne Ave. Father Hickey discussed'l~ v~ious functions which ~e conducted at t~ the Church a~ School a~ the n~ber ~ ~ople ~n ~ttendance, most o~ wh~ drive. He discussed inozess ~ egress at Clinton St. and ~nvent Mr. Dickson reported traffic light will be installed at Delavergne'~. but he didn't kn~ when, as it had to be contracted out. He stated he would have Hr. ~&~Rb-~qand Traffic engineering.check out the other traffic deficincies. Slater Hr. Savelli reported signs on West Hain St. are not being enfoced0 Tr. Costa reported mn Parking signs along West Hain St. have not been replaced, ~ayor Synnett reported Village spent $9,O00. to restore pxoperty behind Carmine Dr. and s~e had been ruined by the Contractor. He also rePOrted damage to people's homes and top soil between sidewalks and curbs was not adequate. MaporSynrmtt also reported some sewer pipe broken. Hr. Dickson reported DOT was still ~f~esPOnsible for the State Highway. Tr. Greco. reported no provisions had been made for drainage along West Hain St. Tr. Cioppa reported on the following: 1. Traffic signs installed on the sidewalks. 2. Requests a traffic signal at the intersection of ~est Main & ~est Streets. 3. Poor drainage in front of the Getty station and Delavergde Ave. area. ~o Sidewalks raised at the Ciarfella residence, SG Nest Hain St,. S. Damage ~o Consentino residence, 46 Nest Hain St, Tr. Hazochi reported there was a drainage problem at the intersection o~ West Hain St. & Convent Ave. and also discussed possibility of the installation of a traffic signal at NPst Academy St. and South Ave.
