<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 5/3/07 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Lisa Firstenberg, Vice Chairman, Kristina Costa, George Moran <br /> <br />Absent: George Kolb and Don McCormick <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Kevin Patton Jennifer Van Tuyl <br /> Steve Tinkleman Mike Collier <br /> Rachel Castro Pete Setaro <br /> Trustee Calabrese Carl Calabrese <br /> Allen Firstenberg Anna Jeannie DiPolito <br /> Fran DiPolito Jay Paggi <br /> Gabriel DeSantis Lucy DeSantis <br /> Joseph Sarubbi Santo Mei <br /> Christina Coimbra Bill Halvey <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />BELLAGIO SALON, 2651 EAST MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the proposal for a sign at 2651 East Main Street. Mrs. Christina Coimbra <br />presented her case. The sign will be a beige background with green lettering – it is not illuminated. <br />The Board reviewed the sign permit application for conformance to the code and it was stated that it <br />did conform to code. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign as proposed contingent upon the <br />owner of the building signing the application – motion was seconded by Mrs. Firstenberg. <br />Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />ASSOCIATED ABBEY CARPET, ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was discussions with the owner of Associated Abbey Carpet regarding the trailer <br />on their property. Mr. Sarubbi stated that he had looked into the possibility of putting a 10' x 16' <br />storage shed on the property or a 20' storage bin with doors on it back by the dumpster. He stated he <br />has emptied the trailer and talked with Arnoff and they are supposed to be there by Monday (5/7/07) to <br />pick up the trailer. Mr. Morris stated when Mr. Sarubbi made his decision on what type of structure he <br />was going to put on the property he would have to come back to the Planning Board for their final <br />approval. Mr. Morris went on to say that in his opinion his main concern was the it was in the rear of <br />the property – not visible from Route 9. <br /> <br />CATALANO, HALVEY AND STRAUB FUNERAL HOME, 55 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the change of ownership for the Catalano, Halvey and Straub Funeral Home at <br />55 East Main Street. Mr. Halvey stated he bought the business two years ago – there will be no <br />changes to the business. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the change of ownership, seconded by <br />Ms. Costa. Unanimously carried. Mr. Morris stated new owners will have to go to the Zoning Office <br />to get a new Certificate of Occupancy in their name. For the record it was stated that the Code <br />Enforcement Officer will be meeting with Mr. Halvey on Friday to assure that the new sign will not <br />impact visibility at the South Mesier/East Main Street intersection. <br /> <br />LAURIE AND TOM WEBBER, 19 DELAVERGNE AVENUE <br />No one was present at the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
