Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />BOSTWICK SALES, 789 OLD ROUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was the application of Bostwick Sales, 789 Old Route 9 for their building and road <br />signs. There were three signs. One for the building sign for Bostwick Sales, one for the building sign <br />for Creative Kitchens and the road sign. The building signs would be black letters on the stucco <br />building – they would be lit by recessed lighting underneath the awning. Mr. Alfonso stated he felt <br />the road sign was too high and would not conform with the new sign ordinances. (It was stated that the <br />new sign ordinances would be approved within the next month and Mr. Morris wanted applicant to be <br />aware of this) It was also stated that the sign should be a minimum of 12 ft. from the road so any <br />vehicle entering the property has a clear view and the new ordinances call for no internally illuminated <br />signs. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the building signs, seconded by Mr. Alfonso. <br />Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Next the road sign was discussed. Ms. Firstenberg stated the Greenway Guides suggest that no sign <br />should have any more than three tenants listed on it and Mr. Bostwick has the potential for five tenants. <br />The Greenway Guides also recommends monument sign and externally illuminated signs for the Route <br />9 corridor. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to deny the road sign as presented, seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick. On roll call vote – Mr. Alfonso – Aye, Mr. McCormick – Aye, Mr. Morris – Aye, Ms. <br />Firstenberg – Aye and Mr. Moran – Nay. <br /> <br />After more discussion about the road sign Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the road sign <br />contingent upon: (1) maximum height of 12 ft., (2) limit to 4 slats on the sign, (3) wattage not to be <br />brighter than Ciccio's at 2710 West Main Street (Mr. Brutting to verify this). Motion seconded by Mr. <br />Moran. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />RIVERBEND – ENTRANCE AND CLUBHOUSE SIGNS <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Riverbend to discuss their entrance and clubhouse signs. <br />The project received their approvals in 2005 and is currently under construction.
