<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD DECEMBER 6, 2007 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Lisa Firstenberg, Vice Chairperson, Don McCormick, George <br />Moran <br /> <br />Absent: Kristina Costa <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Bob McDonough Liz Glassberg <br /> George Sotanski Larry Drake <br /> Lou Snell Jack Fedigan <br /> Jay Paggi Jim Horan <br /> Michele Greig Robert Marchione <br /> Angel Barros Lou Fiorese <br /> Debbie Porco Dominic Porco <br /> Steve Tinkleman Eric Neiler <br /> Michael Sotanski Michael Collier <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Motion by Mr. McCormick, seconded by Mr. Moran to <br />approve the minutes of the November meeting as amended. On roll call vote – Mr. Morris – Aye, Mr. <br />McCormick – Aye, Mr. Moran – Aye, Ms. Firstenberg – Abstain and Ms. Costa – Absent. <br /> <br />DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA, COURTESY PERFORMANCE <br /> <br />First on the agenda was the proposed sign and change of ownership for Courtesy Performance. It was <br />stated that the site was the previous location of Rims on Rides. Applicant stated his business would be <br />similar to Rims on Rides. It is basically a showroom for wheels and accessories for another shop <br />which they have in Poughkeepsie. They will be making no changes to the inside of the building – just <br />painting - their hours of operation will be seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. To 9:00 p.m. Mr. Moran <br />made a motion to approve the use, seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Next the sign was discussed – It was stated that the applicant would be using the existing box for the <br />sign – the sign permit application was reviewed for conformity to the codes – sign would be internally <br />illuminated – Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the sign contingent upon: (1) a color sample <br />of the red being brought to the Planning Office, (2) the lineal footage of the store front put on the <br />application and (3) the wattage of the bulbs being noted. Motion was seconded by Mr. Moran. <br />Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />JOHNNIES STORE, 2723 WEST MAIN STREET <br /> <br />Next on the agenda was a discussion regarding the change of ownership for Johnnies Store, 2723 West <br />Main Street. Mr. McDonough stated he would be buying the entire building. It was stated for the <br />record that the business has been closed for less than 18 months – therefore it did not lose the <br />“grandfather clause” - and new owners could continue to operate the business as it previously existed. <br />Mr. Mcdonough stated he would be doing no structural changes but he would stay in touch with the <br />Code Enforcement Officer if he decided to do anything. Their hours of operation would be Monday <br />through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. To 10:00 p.m. And Sundays from 6:00 a.m. To 7:00 p.m. Mr. <br />McCormick made a motion to approve the use as currently exists, seconded by Mr. Moran. <br />Unanimously carried. Applicant was reminded to apply to the Zoning Enforcement Officer for a new <br />Certificate of Occupancy. <br /> <br /> <br />
