An Informational meeting was held on Oct, 3, 1977 at 7:00 P.M. in the <br />American Legion Hall concerning the possibility of reactivating the <br />power plant located at the old Dutchess Bleacheryo <br /> <br />Those interested in plant: John Zimmerman, John McSweeney, Willia~ <br />Hovermyer and James Brown Jr. - Attorney~ Harold H. Reilly <br /> <br />Village Board~ Mayec Synnet't, Tr. 0~ Rourke, Tro Lawrence, Tro Schinella <br />and Attyo Lyons, also T~:. Silvestri. <br /> <br />Lake Committee: Anthony D/~arco, Ted Craft & Ray Ward° <br /> <br />Water Comnissioners Catalano & Berinato <br /> <br />Present owner of the plant: Norman Kaynor. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hovermyer reported they have negotiated an agreement with Mr. Kalmor <br /> as same would coincide with the energy pro, ram. <br /> He stated that, due to the cost of fuel, it would be feasible to renovate <br /> plant and they have reached an agreement with Mr. Kaynor for leasing the <br /> plant, gates and appurtances. <br />Mro Hovermyer stated they wanted to renovate facilities and have conducted <br />a series of engineering calculations on the plant based on the flo~ data. <br /> <br />Mr. Hover~yer reported they would install one 1000 K.Wo Alternator and <br />one 500 K.W. Alternator which would increase the capacity from 1300 to <br />1500 K.Wo'He stated they studied plant, same was feasible, and they <br />intended to redesign electrical syste~u fc~ 2300 V. inside., with a <br />modern switchboard. <br /> <br />Mr. Hovermyer reported local contractors would be contacted for general <br />contracting and' p~ver would be tied into Central Hudson and sold at <br />a bulk rate. He stated they could do their own engineering and construction <br />and plant would not operate during the months of July or August or at <br />any other time beyond the predescribed level. <br /> <br />Mr. Hovermyer reported they had contacted Central Hudson and arrived at <br />a rate which would be sold directly to sub transmission lines. <br />He stated maintenance and repairs would be given to local contractors <br />and one of the owners would be in the area at all times. <br /> <br />.Mr. DiSco inquired as to revenue for the Village and Mr. Hovermyer <br />replied this was considered and they have contacted the Public Service <br />Comissien for a rate. <br /> <br />Mr. DiMarce reported Village was looking for revenue to develop the lake. <br />and Mr. Hovermyer reported they were prepared to repair raceway. <br /> <br /> <br />
