The regular scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at 7:30p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, <br />Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 <br /> <br />Pledae of Allet~iance <br /> <br />ROLLCALL: <br /> <br />Attendance: Mayor Mary A Ross, Trustee A1 Weitlich, Trustee Joe Consentino, Trustee <br />Rick Cerino, Trustee John Enson and Trustee Nancy Schinella <br /> <br />Absent: Trustee Scott Davis for the record is absent due to his wife was undergoing <br />surgery today. <br /> <br />Also in attendance: <br />Village Attorney Louis Viglotti, Village Highway Superintendent Thomas Marshal, <br />Village Assessor Donald Walker, Water Commissioner Bob Travis, Building Inspector <br />George Kolb Jr., Village Clerk John M. Karge, Lt. John Birdsell, paul Italiano, Mark <br />Italiano, Dave Alfonso, Mr. Pat Brown, George Traver, Charlie McCluskey, Tom Burke, <br />Dawna Chase, Judy Morris, Janice Hilderbrand, Gary Rogers, Steve Paino, Tom <br />Poanessa Sr~ Pam Kortright, and Milti Kastanis. <br /> <br />Authorization of payment of bills <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino that all bills that have been audited and approved by the finance <br />committee are paid. Seconded by Tr. Enson. Carried. <br /> <br />CLERKS REPORT <br /> <br />20% insurance increase due to a terrorist clause <br /> <br />The clerk's office received notice that there will be 20 % increase insurance because of a <br />Terrorist Clause. The Village Clerk John Karge spoke with Mr. Jack Peluse from Marshal <br />& Stealing regarding this clause. Mr. Peluse said that this is an option for the <br />communities for weather or not they want to include this clause in their insurance <br />policies. The clerk opted not to take the clause in view of the fact the insurance contract <br />will be negotiated shortly and funds have not be allocated for this 20% increase in this <br />budget period. <br /> <br />Old Route 9 Property <br /> <br />Old Route 9 Property status received the requested additional funds for escrow for the <br />continuation of the Hired of Mr. McGrath who is currently assessing the value of the <br />property. <br /> <br />Phone system <br /> <br />The week ending December 20, 2002 the phone messaging system and mailboxes are in <br />place on the village phones. <br /> <br />bdmtg-jan 08 2003 Page I of 9 01/08/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
