Public Hearing on the proposed 1985-86 Village budget was held on 4-15-85 <br />at 7:00 P.H. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Greco, Tr. Cioppa~ Tr. Costa, Tr. Komornik, <br />Tr. Boyle, Treasurer Ca~pil/i and Attyo Reilly. <br /> <br />Public notice of said hearing was published in the W. & S.D. News on 4-10-85. <br /> <br />Treasurer Campilii reported the following: <br /> <br />Revenue sharing allocations axe as follows: <br />Police: $17mOOOo <br />Sanitation: $16,516. <br /> <br />He stated revised version of preliminary budget presented on 3-27-85 <br />showed a preliminary tax rate of $17.57 per thousand.. He reported basis <br />of the meeting was to come up with an end product and the Board decided <br />on the following: <br />No increases in General Bxpense line and a salary increase of <br /> <br />Treasurer Campilii reported the following increases in proposed budget: <br />Insurance: Increased $17,500. <br />Contingency: increased $13,000, <br />~lectri¢ Lighting: Increased $3500. <br />Fringe benefits: increased $2700. <br />Notes & Interest: Increased $24~O00. <br /> <br />He reported the following decreases: <br />Police: Decreased $10,000. <br />Highway: Decreased $14,000. <br />Zonir~: Decreased <br />Cash Surpluses: Decreased $10,000. <br /> <br />Treasurer Campilii reported the following on State Aid: <br />1984: We received $101,742. <br />1985: We will receive $113,177. <br /> <br />He stated~ based on the above, preliminary tax rate would be set at $56.00 <br />Der thousand or an increase of 3.7%. <br /> <br />There was no one present to voice an opinion pro or con on the proposed <br />budget. <br /> <br />Public Heax ing closed 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
