<br />MINUTES OF THE PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 5/7/09 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Lisa Firstenberg, Vice Chairperson, Don <br />McCormick, George Moran, Mike Kocan, Bonnie Kieffer, Alternate and Mary Ann <br />Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> John Fenton Jim Horan <br /> Eileen Sassmann Trustee Calabrese <br /> Jay Paggi Michele Greig <br /> John Clyde Al Cappelli <br /> Rosa Merchan Lou Snell <br /> Tom Snell John Adams <br /> Pat Tandy Angel BArros <br /> Vincent Eagan Mary Eagan <br /> Mark Day Dave STenger <br /> Carlo Caldara Wayne Zuckerman <br /> Joe Sarchino Jeanne DiPolito <br /> Frances DiPolito <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Morris stated he would like to <br />change the minutes to include applicants names in each of the entries. Mr. <br />McCormick made a motion to approve the minutes as amended, seconded by <br />Mr. Moran. On roll call vote - Mr. Morris - Aye, Mr. McCormick - Aye, Mr. Moran - <br />Aye, Mr. Kocan - Abstain, Ms. Firstenberg - Abstain. <br /> <br />FALLS DINER, 2659 EAST MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the proposed sign for Falls Diner, 2659 East Main <br />Street. Mr. John Clyde the owner of the building represented the owners of the <br />diner. Mr. Clyde stated that the sign will not be lit. After reviewing the sign it was <br />stated that the sign is 4.1 sq. ft. per side - 8.2 sq. ft. total - which is well within the <br />code. Mr. Morris asked if there were any other colors to the sign besides black <br />and white and Mr. Clyde answered no there were not. Mr. Kocan asked how <br />high the sign was and Mr. Clyde asked how high did it have to be - Code <br />Enforcement Officer Fenton stated it had to be at least 7' high and Mr. Clyde <br />stated it would be at least 7 ft. high. Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve <br />the sign as presented, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />MARK RENNHACK, 24 OLD ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was a proposal from Mr. Al Cappelli regarding the owners of <br />24 Old Route 9 using office space on upper floor of their building for their <br />swimming pool business. Mr. Morris asked Mr. Cappelli to update the Board on <br />his proposal. Mr. Cappelli stated Main Technical Services occupies the first and <br />second floor of an existing building which was recently constructed at 24 Old <br />Route 9. The owners of the building would like to occupy the so called attic - the <br />third floor - for their business. There was inadequate parking at the time the site <br /> <br />
