<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD DECEMBER 3, 2009 <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Lisa Firstenberg, Vice Chairperson, Don <br />McCormick, George Moran, Mike Kocan and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br />Absent: Bonnie Kieffer - Alternate <br />Others Present: Victor Toujiline Bill Bostwick <br /> Ender Ozgur Angela Corcoran <br /> Evan Podob Nicholas Chase <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Morris stated he had made the following changes to the minutes: On Page 1 under <br />the discussion with Mr. Paggi regarding the new water treatment plant it was stated that <br />“everything will be demolished” – should read “most things will be demolished”, under <br />Smokes for Less it says ….6.6’ and it should be 6’6” and under Walgreens instead of <br />referring to the stores that are currently there, i.e., Sleepy’s, etc. it should just give the <br />physical address i.e., Route 9. <br /> <br />Mr. Kocan asked how many spaces were supposed to be in front of Smokes for Less and <br />Mr. Morris stated the Code Enforcement Officer will have to answer that question. <br /> <br />Mr. Moran made a motion to accept the minutes as amended, seconded by Ms. <br />Firstenberg. On roll call vote – Mr. Morris – Aye, Mr. Moran – Aye, Mr. Kocan – Aye, <br />Ms. Firstenberg – Aye and Mr. McCormick – Abstain. <br /> <br />ALL STATE INSURANCE, 2591 SOUTH AVENUE <br />Applicant cancelled. <br /> <br />DANTRICIA REALTY, INC., DELAVERGNE AVENUE <br />Applicant cancelled. <br /> <br />VICTOR TOUJILINE, 789 OLD ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the proposed use and sign from Victor Toujiline to be able to <br />have a Specialty Grocery Store at 789 Old Route 9. Mr. Toujiline stated he is planning <br />on opening a specialty food store – the food will be delivered from New York City <br />Warehouses – most of the customers would be Russian speaking people from Soviet <br />Union – he would be selling foods and gifts and champagne when he gets his liquor <br />license. The reason he wants to sell champagne is it is the traditional liquor for all <br />Russian celebrations. His hours of operation would be Tuesday through Sunday from <br />9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There would be no commercial cooking – he would be preparing <br />salads on site and everything else would be prepackaged. Mr. Toujiline was reminded <br />that he would need a building permit to install the sinks and traps necessary for his <br />operation. Mr. Toujiline also stated that he has been in contact with the Department of <br />Agriculture and Marketing for his approval to open. It was stated that Mr. Bostwick <br />(owner of the property) had received a variance for parking with his original site plan <br />application. <br /> <br />
