MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 7/6/06 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Rob Alfonso, Vice Chairman, George Moran, <br />Lisa Firstenberg, George Kolb and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Don McCormick <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Jean DiPolito <br /> William C. Bostwick <br /> Walter Masch <br /> Bob Flynn <br /> David Anfiteatro <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Barry Feinstein <br /> Tony D'Adnzzo <br /> <br />Fran DiPolito <br />Eileen Sassmann <br />Christine Hickcy <br />Chris Mosehillo <br />Kevin Bmtting <br />Eugene Ninnie <br />Matt Alexander <br />Jeff Smith <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Motion by Mr. Alfonso to accept the minutes of <br />the June meeting as amended, seconded by Mr. Kolb. Unanimously carded. <br /> <br />STONEBRIDGE ANTIOUES. 2657 EAST MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the appearance of representatives of Stonebridge Antiques <br />seeking approval for a new sign at the above location. Applicant stated it is an original <br />sign from the 1920's - it will be silver and black - it will be installed in the exact spot <br />where the existing sign is mounted. Applicant stated the sign will be lit-but very low <br />wattage - (approximately 4 - 60 watt bulbs) - Mr. Morris stated typically in the past the <br />Board has been opposed to internally lit signs but in this case for the record this sign is <br />non translucent, it is made of metal, there are perforations for the illumination, the <br />lighting is low wattage and is incandescent and the sign was made in the 1920's which <br />makes it a historical sign from the era. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign as <br />"literally" presented, seconded by Mr. Alfonso. Unanimously carded. <br /> <br />DOUBLE O GRILL, ROUTE 9 <br /> <br />No one was present for the heating. <br /> <br />ST. MARY'S THRIFT SHOP, CONVENT AVENUE <br />Applicant stated she had received her approval from the ZBA for a Special Use Permit <br />with the following conditions: (1) hours ofopemtiun 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. all days <br />except Sundays, (2) property remain~ owned by the Church, (3) Satisfactory completion <br />of SEQRA and all Planning Board processes, (4) any external signage is non-iliuminated <br />and (5) no external architectural changes. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to declare the <br />project as a Type II under SEQRA, seconded by Mr. Kolb. Unaniraotl~ly carried. Mr. <br />Alfonso made a motion to approve the Thrift Shop for St. Mary's with all conditions as <br />outlined by the ZBA, motion seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimons!y carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
