MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 8/7/05 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chair, Rob Alfonso, Vice Chair, Matt Alexarwler, George <br />Moran, Don McCormick and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Trustee Schinella <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Patricia Gibbs <br /> Al Capelli <br /> Florence Matthews <br /> <br />Trustee Enson <br />Paul Treftz <br />Bob McDonough <br />Tom Walsh <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30p. m. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the dune <br />minutes- (as amended by Mr. Alfonso with secretary), seconded by Mr. Morarr <br />Unanimously carried <br /> <br />Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the duly minutes, seconded by Mr. McCormick. <br />Unanimously carried <br /> <br />99CENTS AND UP, DUTCHESS SHOPPING CENTER <br />First on the agenda was the appearance of Florence Matthews with a proposed sign and <br />informal discussion regarding having a retail store in the Dutchess Shopping Center. <br />Mr. Walsh presented the sign with a color rendering to the Board The sign is single <br />sided - internally illuminated - consistent with other signs m the plaza. Mr. Morris <br />reminded applicant that there are proposed sign ordinances in their infancy at the <br />present time and if approved- sign may have to be changed After review for <br />conformance to the ordinances - Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign as <br />presented seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />DON PANCH1TO SUPER STORE~ 2651 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Mr. Walsh then stated he had another proposed sign for the Board that was not on the <br />agenda. Mr. Morris stated the Board wouM hear the proposal. The sign is a building <br />sign - which wouM be spot-lighted. It is 3' x 4' and wouM be hanging from the building. <br />Mr. Morris cautioned applicant to make sure the sign was not irt the DOTright qf way. <br />After review for conformance to the codes, Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the <br />sign, seconded by Mr. McCormick Unanimously carried. Again application was <br />reminded of the new sign ordinances being proposed to the Board. At this point Mr. <br />Moran stated that the sign - style and color was very attractive and fit in with the <br />aesthetics of the neighborhood <br /> <br />99 CENTS AND UP, DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal for the use of the storefront in the Dutchess <br />Shopping Plaza for the above. Applicant stated she wouM be having a retail store in the <br />space between Exotic Nails and Smokes for Less. Her hours of operation would be usual <br />retail hours - 10:00 a.m. to 8.'OO p. m. -Monday through Saturday aud noon to 5:00p. m. <br /> <br /> <br />
