MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD. MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 6~ 2001 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Rob Alfonso, Joe Consentino, John Karge <br /> <br />Absent: Tom Visentin <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Chris Boyea <br /> Trustee Enson <br /> Mike Robinson <br /> Armand Alfonso <br /> Dave Stenger <br /> <br />Mayor Ross <br />Bob Morris <br />Tim Serino <br />Mike Kocan <br />Bob OswaM <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. Motion by Mr, Alfonso, seconded by Mr. Karge <br />to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Unanimously approved. Joe Consentino <br />absent from voting on minutes. <br /> <br />.M. Ofl!L STATION, CORNER OF N. MESlER AND RQUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was the application of the Mobil station at the intersection of Route 9 <br />and N. Mesier Avenue for a proposed sign, Applicant stated what Mobil would like to do <br />is what they call a canopy reimage program. First they wouM like to do some regular <br />maintenance -paint columns and underside of canopy- brighten everything up - give it <br />a "fresh look. ' The signage will stay the exact same square footage, After some <br />discussion Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve sign permit as presented, seconded by <br />Mr. Karge. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />MIKE ROBINSON FOR 17 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the informal presentation by Mr. Mike Robinson to be able to <br />have office for Waverly Pest Control and a small recording studio for Karoke singers at <br />17 East Main Street. Applicant stated what he wants to do is open an office on the <br />ground level of the building for his Pest Control business and small recording studio. It <br />was stated there would be no storage of any chemicals on site -just office space, As far <br />az' the Karoke business goes -people wouM come into the studio and just record music. <br />He wouM do this in approximately 20' x 20' space. He would be using acoustic foam (2 <br />to 3 t, thick) for soundproofing - also styrofoam backing as well as carpeting and <br />insulation, Mr. Morris. stated the Planning Board wouM have to be satisfied that there <br />was adequate insulation to protect all residents and fellow business partners on the other <br />sides of the walls. Hours wouM be by appointment only and applicant was reminded of <br />the noise ordinance of the Village, Mr. Alfonso stated he felt applicant was establishing <br />two unrelated businesses on one site which is not allowed by the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Applicant stated there would only be two employees on site at any given time. Applicant <br />was instructed to make up a plan and present it to the Code Enforcement Officer who <br />would make a determination if applicant needed to get a variance for the two unrelated <br />businesses.
