MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 2/1/01 <br /> <br />Present: Floyd Hood Chairman, Tom Morris, Rob Alfonso, John Karge, Joe <br />Consentino <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Vincent Palumbo <br /> Margaret Stroble <br /> Chris Palazzo <br /> Inez Hassman <br /> Anthony Sidote <br /> Judy Morris <br /> Abigail Almert <br /> Jon Adams <br /> <br />Robert Kortright <br />Eileen Sassmann <br />Mayor Belding <br />Joseph Indovino <br />Frank Walsh <br />Dawna Chase <br /> <br />Kevin O'Leary <br />Ernst Martin <br /> <br />Meeting wasa called to order at 7:32 p. m. <br /> <br />EXOTIC NAILS, D UTCHESS SHOPPING PL4Z 4 <br />First on the agenda was the sign permit application for Exotic Nails in the Dutchess <br />Shopping Plaza. It was stated there is no sign there now just the empty box and all the <br />applicant wants to do is' replace the face of the sign. After reviewing the application Mr. <br />Karge made a motion to approve the application as presented seconded by Mr. <br />Consentino. On roll call vote - Mr. Karge - Aye, Mr. Hood- Aye, Mr. Alfonso - Aye, <br />Mr. Consentino -Aye and Mr. Morris -Absent. <br /> <br />EUROFURNITURE, IMPERIAl, PLAZA <br />Next on the agenda was the sign permit application for the EuroFurniture in the Imperial <br />Plaza. Applicant presented the application and stated that the Pet Food Bowl is leaving <br />the site and being replaced by EaroFurniture. There was no application for the pylon <br />sign and therefore after reviewing the permit for compliance Mr. Alfonso made a motion <br />to approve the building sign only and applicant must come back to the Planning Board <br />for any additional signage. Motion seconded by Mr. Consentino. On roll call vote - Mr. <br />Alfonso - Aye, Mr. Hood- Aye, Mr. Consentino - Aye, Mr. Karge - Aye and Mr. Morris <br />- Absent. <br /> <br />VINCENT PAL UMBO, 25/29 HILLSIDE A VENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the informal appearance of Mr. Palumbo with a discussion <br />regarding his property at 25/29 Hillside Avenue. Mr. Palumbo stated he would like to <br />combine both pieces of property, take down the existing building and put a 8 unit <br />building on the parcel and he would grade the existing gravel bank to an acceptable <br />level. The property is currently zoned residential, single family (RZ 5). Applicant was <br />instructed that he would have to go to the ZBA for a use variance because at the present <br />time his building is grandfathered and any changes to that would either have to bring the <br />building into conformance or seek a variance.
