MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 1/4/01 <br /> <br />Present: Floyd Hood, Chair, John Karge, Rob Alfonso <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Joe Consentino and Tom Morris <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Ozzie Beichert <br /> <br /> Trustee Davis <br /> Mark Day <br /> Bob Morris <br /> Tony Sidote <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Jennifer Van Tuyl <br /> Barbara Tomlins <br /> <br />Mayor Belding <br />Dawna Chase <br />Tom Visentin <br />Richard Cantor <br />Joe Indovino <br />Joe Poillucci <br />Bill Bergener <br />Judy Morris <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. Motion by Mr. Alfonso, seconded by Mr. <br />Karge to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as written. Unanimously carried <br /> <br /> PREMIER NATIONAL BANK- IMPERIAL PLAZA <br />First on the agenda was the application of the Premier National Bank in the Imperial <br />who were requesting changing the faces on their sign to M&T Banlc The bank is <br />changing their name for the fourth time in the last six years. Mr. Beichert of Timely <br />Signs representing the bank stated he had researched the files for the signs and stated <br />two of the signs had permits (labeled #1 and #4) and somehow a third sign (labeled #3) <br />appeared. The rest of the signs are directional/clearance signs. Mr. Hood stated that <br />according to the Zoning Code you are only allowed two signs per unit of occupancy. The <br />bank personnel stated that the third sign was never considered advertising but more to <br />direct people to the bank. Mr. Hood stated he did not agree with this interpretatior~ Mr. <br />Karge asked applicant if they needed such a big sign as a directional sign and applicant <br />stated when the building was put up this was the only place to put it. What the apph'cant <br />is suggesting for the third sign would be a small sign with enter/exit on it and MdT banlc <br />Mr. Alfonso stated he felt the site plan should be amended to reflect the third sign. After <br />some informal discussion Mr. Alfonso made a motion to accepts signs which are labeled <br />#1 and #4 and that sign #3 be removed and a directional sign be submitted to the Zoning <br />Enforcement Officer to approve (with an amendment to the site plan) with the Chairman <br />of the Planning Board. The directional sign should not be any larger than 12" x 24". <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Karge. Unanimously carried <br /> <br />TING JIN ZHANGt 2646 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was a discussion regarding renovations to apartments at 2646 East <br />Main Street. Mr. Karge made a motion to accept the proposal as presented but <br />applicant needs to have a conversation with the Zoning Enforcement Officer as soon as <br />possible and no construction should be going on without approved plans and a building <br />permit and the issue of the reserved parking spaces in the municipal lot shouM also be <br /> <br /> <br />
