MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 5/4/00 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Visentin, Chair, Tom Morris Vice Chair, John Karge, Rob Alfonso, <br />Joe Consentino and Mary Ann Bolander, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Barbara Fitzgerald <br /> Pete Setaro <br /> Harold Marsh <br /> Bob Travis <br /> Tom Walsh <br /> Mary Townsend <br /> <br />Carrie Gilbert <br />Kurt Schollmeyer <br />Armand Alfonso <br />Judy Morris <br />Laurie Gruendle <br />Gene Ninnie <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:32 p.m. Motion by Mr. Karge, Seconded by Mr. <br />Consentino to approve the minutes of the April 6, 2000 meeting. Unanimously carried <br />Mr. Morris absent for voting on the minutes. <br /> <br />SLEEPIES, PATRIOT'S PARK~ ROUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was the proposed sign for Sleepies at the above address. Mrs. <br />Fitzgerald presented the proposal. She stated they were requesting a panel on the pylon <br />sign and a building sign. After calculating the allowable amount of signage it was <br />determined that the building sign would have to be reduced to conform. At this point Mr. <br />Alfonso made a motion to approve both signs as amended(with new calculations) and <br />with the color schemes as presented Motion seconded by Mr. Karge. Unanimously <br />carried <br /> <br />LA URIE GRUENDLE FOR 90 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the sign permit application of Ms. Laurie Gruendle for 90 East <br />Main Street. Ms. Gruendle presented her sign. After some discussion regarding the sign <br />it was stated that the sign would not hang over the sidewalk, could not be any higher than <br />8ft., the Board recommended that the boarder of the sign be decorative and the size of <br />the sign would be changed to 3ft. by 30". Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the <br />sign contingent upon the above, seconded by Mr. Karge. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />MERRY MAIDS, HOLLOWBROOK OFFICE PARK <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Merry Maids for a temporary sign to be <br />located near the directory sign at the Hollowbrook office park Mr. Visentin informed <br />applicant that the Zoning Administrator was responsible for temporary signs and she <br />could apply at the Zoning Office. <br /> <br />ASSOCIA TED CARPET~ ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Associated Carpet Warehouse, Route 9 with a <br />request for two signs. Applicant stated he wouM be taking down the roadside, After <br />review of the signs Mr. Alfonso made a motion to accept the signs as presented (new sign <br /> <br /> <br />
