<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 10/4/07 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Lisa Firstenberg, Vice Chairperson, Don McCormick, George <br />Moran, George Kolb, Kristina Costa and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> John Fenton Jay Paggi <br /> Michele Greig Jim Horan, Village Attorney <br /> Steve Tinkleman Rachel Castro <br /> Michael Connors Mary Schmalz <br /> Robert Kortright Kevin Roberts <br /> David Schlam Steven Burns <br /> Barbara Fitzgerald Eileen Sassmann <br /> Ticero McClinton Jack Nasi <br /> Lendell Simmons Jack Fedigan <br /> Mary Townsend Louis Snell <br /> Karen Gardner Tom Walsh <br /> Bob Crenshaw Don Swartz <br /> Lou Fiorese Debbie Porco <br /> Dominic Porco <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. The Board unanimously agreed to hold the approval from the <br />September meeting until the next meeting. <br /> <br />HIP HOP SENSATION, DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA <br />First on the agenda was the proposal from Hip Hop Sensation for a sign at the Dutchess Shopping <br />Plaza. Color samples were presented to the Board. It would be a box sign having the same wattage <br />and be the same size as the previous sign (which was approved for Verizon Wireless). The sign permit <br />was reviewed for conformance and it was stated that all conformed to code. Mr. Kolb stated he does <br />not feel the Planning Board should be hearing this proposal because the parking lot is still not in <br />conformance to their site plan. Mr. McCormick agreed with Mr. Kolb but stated that the applicant was <br />at the Planning Board last month and received approval for his use of the space. Mr. McCormick went <br />further to say that we should not hear any other requests from Dutchess Shopping Plaza until the <br />parking lot is brought into conformance. <br /> <br />Mr. Fenton stated that the only thing that needs to be done to bring this parking lot into conformance is <br />that the three parking spots that are in front of Carpet World need to be taken out and designated as a <br />fire zone. There is a letter on file from the owner of Dutchess Shopping Plaza that acknowledges this. <br /> <br />After further review of the sign permit application – Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign, <br />seconded by Mr. McCormick. On roll call vote – Mr. Morris – Aye, Mr. McCormick – Aye, Ms. <br />Firstenberg – Aye, Mr. Moran – Aye and Mr. Kolb – Nay. <br /> <br />MID HUDSON PARK MANAGEMENT, (FORMERLY OAK TREE GARDENS) <br />CHANNINGVILLE ROAD <br />Next on the agenda was the application of Mid Hudson Park Management (formerly Oak Tree <br />Gardens) Channingville Road. The sign permit application was reviewed and it was stated that it does <br />not conform to the new sign ordinances – specifically Section 151-12(G)(2) which refers you to <br />Section 151-12(H)(2). At this point Mr. McCormick made a motion to deny as proposed, seconded by <br /> <br />
