<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 2/7/08 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Lisa Firstenberg Vice Chairperson, George Moran, Don <br />McCormick, Kristina Costa, John Chase and Mary Ann Loncto (Secretary) <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Trustee Calabrese Trustee Cerino <br /> Joseph Paparo Jean DiPolito <br /> Fran DiPolito Trustee Marshall <br /> Susan Marshall Mike Novick <br /> Michael Martin Allen Firstenberg <br /> Michele Greig Jay Paggi <br /> Bill Lipiro Carlo Caldero <br /> John Furst James Marano <br /> Joe Sarchino Wayne Zuckerman <br /> Jennifer VanTuyl Lou Fiorese <br /> Debbie Porco Dominic Porco <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. McCormick stated on the last page under B-Dry – 8 ft. <br />fence should be changed to 6 ft. fence. Mr. Moran made a motion to accept the minutes as amended, <br />seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />GINGER 2, 2554 SOUTH AVENUE <br />First on the agenda was a proposal from Ginger 2 Chinese Restaurant with a proposal for a slat in the <br />road sign and a building sign. Mr. Morris stated he would address the two signs separately. The <br />applicant stated they were proposing a slat on the road sign – it would be the same size as the current <br />one. The applicant presented the Board with a color sample of the slat. After reviewing the sign for <br />conformance to the code – Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign, seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Next the building sign was discussed. Mr. Morris stated new sign ordinances were passed and the new <br />ordinance for the NB zone (which the property is located in) has no provisions for wall signs. <br />Therefore the Board must deny the application. It was stated that the applicant has the option of going <br />to the ZBA for a variance if he chooses. Mr. McCormick made a motion to deny the sign, seconded by <br />Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />MEXICAN RESTAURANT, 2667 EAST MAIN STREET – BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE <br />No Show. <br /> <br />DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA, ROUTE 9 <br />No show. <br /> <br />MESIER MOBIL MART, 1663 ROUTE 9 FOR PROPANE TANKS <br />No show. <br /> <br />ZION EPISCOPAL CHURCH, SATERLEE PLACE <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal from Zion Episcopal Church to be able to bring water from parish <br />office building to garage food pantry and install a sink in food pantry. Mr. Paparo representing the <br />Church stated he did not have a drawing with him but a written proposal. There is a drawing on file for <br /> <br />
